Pre-K Special Education Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as a Pre-K Special Education Assistant. This role will provide support to our instructional staff in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment for our young students.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the preparation of educational materials and resources for students.
- Work one-on-one with students or in small groups to reinforce learning objectives and promote academic success.
- Support the daily routine, including distributing and collecting supplies, maintaining attendance records, and grading quizzes as assigned.
- Participate in lunchroom, recess, and bus duties to ensure a safe and orderly environment.
- Assist in preparing and maintaining bulletin boards and learning centers to enhance instruction.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the instructional staff or administration.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Must pass the GACE Paraprofessional Assessment with a minimum score of 250 within one year from date of hire.
- Two years (60 semester hours) of college coursework above the remedial level with a grade of "C" or better at a GaPSC-accepted accredited institution is acceptable.
- 0-1 year of experience in a classroom setting or working with children.
- Classroom experience and/or proven ability to work with children preferred.
- Classroom environment with occasional lifting, bending, and standing.
