As an RN on our Orthopedic and Adult Advanced Acute Care Unit, you will have the opportunity to provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities- Deliver patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Direct and guide patient teaching and activities of ancillary personnel.
- Provide direct patient care, including treatments, medications, and diagnostic studies, according to policy and procedure.
- Complete assessments as established by scope of practice and unit standards.
- Address physical, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual needs of patients and families throughout the continuum of care.
- Formulate, coordinate, and provide plan of care as established in unit standards, including patient and family education, family needs, and discharge planning.
- Evaluate effectiveness of nursing interventions and revise plan of care based on patient response to interventions.
- Initiate collaboration with physicians, ancillary personnel, and other interdisciplinary team members and take action to proactively resolve and facilitate patient needs.
- Make assignments in collaboration with other team members and direct and alter assignments in response to changes in patient needs.
- Solve, troubleshoot, and take corrective measures in the care and handling of equipment.
- Participate in unit-based decision-making regarding the utilization of evidence-based practice.
- Support and participate in initiatives that support the Magnet mission.
- Actively participate in patient quality and safety education programs and other activities designed to improve departmental and organizational quality and safety.
- Graduate from Specialty Training Program-Nursing (Required)
- Certification(s) and License(s): Basic Life Support Certification - Default Issuing Body, Licensed Registered Nurse (Pennsylvania) - RN_State of Pennsylvania
Work is typically performed in a clinical environment. Accountable for satisfying all job-specific obligations and complying with all organization policies and procedures.
