Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our team in the Intensive Care Nursery at the University of California. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality, patient-centered care to critically ill newborns and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Provide expert clinical guidance and support to nursing staff, ensuring that patients receive the highest level of care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and improve the overall quality of care.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research, evidence-based practices, and technological advancements in neonatal care.
Requirements
  • A minimum of two years of recent clinical RN experience in a level IV or level III Intensive Care Nursery with a surgical patient population.
  • Active Registered Nurse licensure in the State of California.
  • Active American Heart Association CPR Certification.
  • Active American Heart Association NRP Certification.
  • Proficiency in providing care for extreme low birth weight infants and neonates with congenital anomalies.
Preferred Qualifications
  • BSN.
