POSITION SUMMARY

The Cybersecurity Executive Consultant, also known as the Virtual Chief Information Security Officer (vCISO), will spearhead and implement Clearwater's consulting projects and managed services initiatives, playing a pivotal role in driving the Company’s rapid expansion. The vCISO will engage in thought leadership, develop innovative solutions, and continuously enhance their expertise in areas pertinent to Clearwater's offerings. This role involves mastering healthcare cybersecurity, cyber risk management, and compliance while investigating emerging issues, technologies, and opportunities within the healthcare landscape.

The vCISO will primarily collaborate with clients, acting as a trusted advisor to lead multi-year cybersecurity and HIPAA compliance initiatives for healthcare organizations. This position is responsible for establishing a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy and ensuring its successful execution in partnership with senior leadership, the delivery team, and other experts at Clearwater.

The vCISO serves as a key consultant and authority for Clearwater's clients, embodying the high standards of quality and excellence that define Clearwater. Through the provision of robust cybersecurity, risk assessment, and risk management solutions, the vCISO enables clients to enhance patient safety, protect sensitive health information, and maintain their corporate integrity and reputation.

SPECIFIC JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee the execution of consulting service engagements as designated, adhering to Statements of Work, Clearwater standards, relevant client policies, and defined work processes. This includes policy customization, risk assessments, vendor risk management, strategic planning, and advisory services.
  • Meet utilization targets of at least 75% (1,560 hours annually), ensuring projects are completed on schedule and within budget while maintaining quality standards.
  • Deliver vCISO services to clients, utilizing Clearwater methodologies and industry best practices, and lead managed services engagements.
  • Mentor consultants and provide training as necessary, particularly for those involved in engagements they are overseeing.
  • Continuously refine and enhance scalable consulting processes to effectively deliver client engagements while achieving high customer satisfaction.
  • Contribute to the development of training materials to support customer adoption of Clearwater's solutions.
  • Coordinate project planning and scheduling, facilitating interviews, meetings, and presentations.
  • Prepare and present insightful and professional presentations to clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Draft, review, and edit reports detailing findings, observations, and recommendations.
  • Develop and enhance tools and templates utilized in client engagements and training.
  • Conduct training sessions for clients on Clearwater's solutions.
  • Engage in business development activities, identifying opportunities for follow-on engagements or additional services.
  • Assist in pre-sales support by assessing client needs and estimating project efforts.
  • Collaborate with various departments on projects as required.
  • Contribute to thought leadership through webinars, blog posts, and participation in industry events.
  • Support the creation and delivery of new services to facilitate business growth.
  • Stay informed on best practices, technical skills, and tools relevant to the role.
  • Engage effectively with a variety of stakeholders, including colleagues, clients, partners, and potential investors.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, & KNOWLEDGE

The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in cybersecurity and information risk management, particularly within the healthcare sector. A background in consulting, team management, and a leadership role in cybersecurity or privacy within a healthcare organization is essential.
