Position Overview:
NC State University is seeking a qualified individual for the role of Instructor or Assistant Professor specializing in Renewable Energy Studies. This position emphasizes teaching and service, with a focus on fostering student engagement and academic success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teaching: The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a total of 15 credit hours annually, which includes both undergraduate and graduate-level courses. Instruction may be conducted in various formats, including online and in-person settings.
- Advising: The role includes mentoring graduate projects within the online Master of Environmental Assessment program and providing guidance to undergraduate students in Environmental Technology and Management.
- Program Coordination: The candidate will oversee the Renewable Energy Assessment Minor and assist in the recruitment of students for graduate programs.
Qualifications:
Applicants should possess a Master's or Ph.D. in a relevant field related to renewable energy assessment. A minimum of one year of teaching experience at the undergraduate level is required, along with a commitment to innovative teaching practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in teaching at the graduate level and knowledge of solar photovoltaics and other renewable energy technologies are highly desirable.
