Job Summary

The Patient Access Representative plays a vital role in supporting the Saint Francis Health System by ensuring seamless patient registration and admissions processes. This position requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Registers patients for scheduled and unscheduled services, including inpatient and outpatient procedures
  • Interviews patients and/or their representatives to obtain demographic and insurance information
  • Obtains necessary identification and insurance cards, and documents information in the registration system
  • Deploys legal and compliance consent forms and documents
  • Coordinates accurate patient data to determine financial obligations and collects payments
  • Follows all guidelines set forth in the Cash Handling policy
Requirements
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Minimum 1-year related experience in health insurance or two years hospital registration experience
  • Excellent customer service skills and effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment and manage multiple tasks
Working Relationships

Works directly with patients and/or customers, as well as internal and external healthcare professionals and staff.
