Job Summary:

As a licensed mental health therapist at Kaiser Permanente, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our members. You will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating a broad range of mental health conditions, including anxiety, depression, and trauma. You will work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address the unique needs of each patient.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and develop treatment plans that address the physical, emotional, and social needs of patients.
  • Provide individual, group, and family therapy sessions to patients, using evidence-based practices and techniques.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and social workers, to ensure comprehensive care and coordination.
  • Develop and implement crisis intervention plans to address acute mental health needs.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families on mental health topics, including coping skills, stress management, and medication adherence.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures that promote high-quality care.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Social Work, Social Welfare, Clinical or Counseling Psychology, or related field.
  • Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) in the state of California.
  • Experience working with diverse populations, including children, adolescents, adults, and older adults.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience working in a mental health setting, including hospitals, clinics, and private practice.
  • Experience with crisis intervention, trauma-informed care, and evidence-based practices.
  • Knowledge of cultural competence and diversity, with the ability to work effectively with patients from diverse backgrounds.
  • Ability to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
