Job Title: Technical Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Support Specialist to join our team at KBR. As a key member of our Mission IT Support (MITS) Services program, you will be responsible for providing technical support and assistance to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, implement, maintain, and configure software for scientific and engineering applications.
  • Create prototypes and perform internal testing of software products.
  • Respond to and resolve software discrepancies against documented requirements.
  • Determine software maintainability and overall adherence to user requirements.
  • Generate program design language and code based on department standards.
  • Generate and update project documents.
  • Analyze and evaluate systems and devise computer specifications and systems for scientific and engineering applications.
  • Encode, test, debug, and install operating programs and procedures.
  • Participate with engineering in the design, development, and utilization of scientific and engineering electronic data processing systems software.
  • Provide analysis related to the design, development, and implementation of software for products such as utility software, development software, and diagnostic software.
  • Participate in the development of engineering test strategies, devices, and systems.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in mathematics, engineering, computer science, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of related experience.
  • Public Trust Clearance.
  • Ability to obtain Public Trust Clearance.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to interact with stakeholders.
  • Superior writing skills.
  • Seasoned project management professional with experience managing both plan-driven and change-driven project methods.
  • Experience with the full suite of MS Office tools, including Microsoft Visio.
  • Experience with development support tools, such as MS Project, Team Foundation Server, Jira, and SharePoint.
  • Experience using one or more of the following prototyping tools: Axure RP, Microsoft Paint, Microsoft Visio, etc.
