Job SummaryWe're seeking a highly skilled Lead Test Automation Engineer to join our team. As a key contributor to our organization, you'll work closely with development teams, individual members, and external vendors to design and implement test automation strategies that deliver high-quality software deliverables. Your expertise will help us achieve our goal of zero emission, zero collision, zero congestion, and zero friction in the auto finance industry.
Key Responsibilities- Partner with development teams to increase software skills and promote test automation best-practices
- Embed in teams or engage across teams to accomplish test automation objectives
- Influence and collaborate with other towers and shared services within GM Financial
- Research and champion the implementation of new tools and approaches that benefit the organization
- Assist team members in implementing automated testing and automated pipelines
- Maintain a shift-left, continuous testing mindset focused on detecting defects and quality issues
- Promote modern software development patterns and practices
- 7-10 years software development experience
- 2-4 years experience leading multi-developer projects
- 2-4 years as a lead and/or subject matter expert
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and writing skills
