Labor and Employment Litigation Paralegal Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Litigation Paralegal to support our team of attorneys in Sherman Oaks, CA. Our firm provides expert representation in state and federal courts, focusing on employee rights and personal injury cases.
Our team approach involves protecting employee rights in various practice areas, including whistleblower claims, wrongful termination, harassment, discrimination, and retaliation. We also handle complex cases involving negligence and personal injury.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Drafting motions and mediation briefs, including creating shells.
- Propounding and responding to discovery.
- Preparing meet and confer letters.
- Creating PAGA letters and complaints, and filing them online.
- Working with Third Party Administrators for Class Notices, Declarations, and Distribution Timelines.
- Organizing and maintaining law libraries, documents, and case files.
- Supervising questionnaire campaigns for class and PAGA cases.
- Drafting first drafts of settlement agreements and MOUs.
- Maintaining attorneys' calendars with hearing dates, filing deadlines, depositions, and other important dates.
- Submitting state and US Federal Court Case Management/Electronic Case File (CM/ECF)/PACER system, including electronic filings.
- Drafting and reviewing legal correspondence, including proofreading for errors in grammar, spelling, punctuation, and formatting.
- Assisting with preparation/revision of correspondence, pleadings, discovery submissions, arbitration/mediation documents in state and federal matters.
- Handling complex and confidential, time-sensitive material.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree (strongly preferred), Paralegal Certification.
- 3-5 years of litigation experience, preferably in employment and/or class action law.
- Superior legal research and writing skills.
- Knowledge of service deadlines for various litigation tasks, including familiarity with the California Code of Civil Procedure.
- Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures of state and federal courts and agencies within labor and employment law practices.
- Bilingual- Spanish.
- Skills:

- Ability to communicate effectively and handle multiple priorities in a timely and professional manner.
- Approachable and enthusiastic.
- Ability to organize and prioritize numerous tasks and complete them under time constraints.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical abilities, and resourcefulness.
- Proficient in software programs such as Filevine, GSuite, Microsoft Office, Adobe, and Excel, or other similar software programs necessary to perform essential duties of the position.
