Antech Diagnostics, a prominent name in veterinary health, is seeking a Laboratory Sample Technician to enhance their workforce. In this role, you will be tasked with receiving, preparing, and processing biological samples for laboratory evaluation. This position demands meticulous attention to detail, the capability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively, and effective communication skills.

Compensation: Shift Differential

Work Schedule: M-F 10pm - 6:30am, Alternate Saturdays 9pm - 5:30am

Key Responsibilities:

  • Efficiently process standard requisitions in accordance with established rates
  • Prepare specimens for testing and appropriate storage
  • Ensure compliance with Turn Around Times (TAT's)
  • Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) while maintaining a tidy workspace
  • Support post-processing tasks as required

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma is mandatory; a degree in a science-related field is preferred
  • Fundamental laboratory skills and familiarity with medical terminology
  • Capacity to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment
  • Proficient data entry skills (Minimum 6,000 KPH)
  • Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs and remain standing for extended periods

  • Laboratory setting with potential biohazard exposure
  • Work under supervision with comprehensive instructions
  • Possible exposure to hazardous substances
