Job Summary

The **Assistant Theatre Manager** is a key member of the Regal Entertainment team, responsible for the day-to-day operations of a theatre and its employees. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Theatre Operations: Oversee the smooth operation of the theatre, including the supervision of employees, management of theatre policies, and maintenance of equipment and facilities.
  • Employee Management: Train, develop, and coach non-management employees to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their jobs effectively.
  • Financial Management: Count, deposit, and reconcile all receipts taken in during a business day, including cash, credit cards, coupons, gift cards, checks, and other forms of payment.
  • Human Resources: Interview, hire, schedule, coach, counsel, suspend, and terminate employees as needed, in accordance with Regal's policies and applicable laws.
  • Risk Management: Monitor and mitigate risks related to employee and patron safety, loss prevention, emergency situations, and accidents.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: At least three months of supervisory experience, or six months of theatre experience with completion of the Cast Certification Program, or a combination of both.
  • Language and Communication Skills: Possess good public speaking skills and be able to effectively communicate in both oral and written form with employees, vendors, corporate staff, and other stakeholders.
  • Math and Reasoning Skills: Perform calculations with speed and accuracy, identify and correct errors, and evaluate relevant information to make informed decisions.
  • Computer and Office Skills: Proven experience with PC platforms and knowledge of basic office programs, including email, word processing, and spreadsheets.
  • Personal Skills: Interface effectively with customers, the public, and co-workers, and exhibit sensitivity to the feelings of others.
Working Conditions

The Assistant Theatre Manager will work in a fast-paced environment, frequently standing, walking, sitting, using hands to finger, handle, or feel, reaching with hands and arms, and talking or hearing. The employee may occasionally be required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee will regularly lift up to 35 pounds.
