Job Description:
As a Radiology/Mammography Technologist, you will be responsible for performing radiographic and mammographic studies, producing high-quality images, and ensuring patient safety and well-being during examinations. You will also be responsible for inspecting and cleaning equipment, maintaining exam rooms, and reporting equipment malfunctions. Additionally, you will be responsible for processing images, completing paperwork, and performing quality control checks. You will work closely with radiologists to optimize patient examinations and ensure accurate diagnoses. This is a temporary position, and you will work a standard day shift schedule. Role & Responsibilities:
Perform radiologic and mammography examinations in accordance with established protocols. Inspect and clean equipment prior to use. Maintain exam rooms in a neat and orderly condition. Report equipment failures and malfunctions to supervisor or director. Process images, complete paperwork, and perform quality control checks. Work closely with radiologists to optimize patient examinations and ensure accurate diagnoses. Identify abnormal breast tissue and repeat exposure or include additional views to decrease patient anxiety. Confirm location of prior examination and contact prior facility to secure previous mammograms for comparison. Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Education:
High school diploma or equivalent. Graduate of an AMA-approved mammography course.
Required Experience:
At least one year of experience in mammography.
Required Documents:
Current California Radiographic and Mammographic Technologist licensure. Updated resume.
