Job Summary:

The Leasing Coordinator is responsible for ensuring all vacant units are filled with eligible applicants from the waiting list according to preference, date, and time, in sequence order. The vacant units must maintain compliance with Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC), HOME Investment Partnerships Program, Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP), Low-Income Public Housing (LIPH), and Public Housing Rental Assistance (PBRA) Multifamily Housing Program rules and regulations when filling units.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate the leasing process for vacant units, ensuring compliance with program regulations.
  • Manage the waiting list, prioritizing applicants based on preference, date, and time.
  • Conduct research and analyze data to inform leasing decisions.
  • Prepare and update supporting documentation, including lease agreements and unit records.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of leasing activity.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless leasing operations.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve leasing efficiency and compliance.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as business administration or public administration.
  • At least two years of experience in affordable housing, leasing, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in PC-based computer applications, including Microsoft Office and housing management software.
