Accounts Receivable and Credit Analyst

Role Summary:
The Accounts Receivable and Credit Analyst will manage a diverse portfolio of clients, overseeing credit assessments and collection activities for an estimated $20 million in annual transactions.
This role necessitates direct engagement with clients across various regions, including domestic and international accounts.
- Manage a portfolio exceeding 400 clients with substantial annual sales.
- Evaluate and authorize customer orders in alignment with ITT's credit policies.
- Maintain comprehensive credit files and conduct portfolio evaluations.
- Support customer master data management with a high volume of transactions.
- Generate and analyze reports, including metrics and performance indicators.
- Contribute to service delivery improvements and ensure quality standards are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize the accounts receivable management system to handle overdue accounts and proactively engage clients regarding upcoming payments.
- Establish and nurture relationships with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate timely collections and issue resolution.
- Collaborate with various business units to monitor account statuses and mitigate potential credit risks.
- Assess potential credit risks and formulate actionable plans in conjunction with internal teams.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies related to payments and account statements.
- Participate in regular discussions with business unit leaders to address significant outstanding issues.
- Determine creditworthiness for domestic and international orders using various analytical tools.
- Review and recommend credit limits to optimize sales while minimizing financial exposure.
- Assist in the accounts receivable reporting process, providing necessary insights to business units.
- Analyze payment trends and provide summaries of significant changes in customer behavior.
- Deliver exceptional customer service by aiding in account reconciliations.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications:
Education: Associate's degree in Business or related field with a minimum of two years of experience in credit and collections, or five years of relevant experience with coursework in accounting.
Skills and Knowledge:
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Excellent customer service orientation.
- Fundamental accounting knowledge.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with AS400 and SAP systems is advantageous.
- Experience with GetPAID software is a plus.
- Team-oriented with a proactive approach to tasks.
- Able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Knowledge of international business practices is beneficial.
