Position Overview:

The Production Supervisor acts as a key technical mentor and resource for process teams, focusing on validation, material handling, equipment planning, and system reliability. This role may involve leading a team of both hourly and salaried technical staff in troubleshooting and problem-solving initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

I. Process Support:
  • Validation: Oversee validation activities, including protocol development, execution, and documentation management.
  • Material Handling: Assist in maintenance scheduling and collaborate with engineering on process design.
  • Equipment Planning: Prioritize maintenance needs and develop schedules to optimize operational efficiency.
  • System Reliability: Conduct product testing and provide laboratory support to meet production demands.

II. Process Coordination:
  • Maintain visibility in production areas to monitor performance and support team members.
  • Develop and manage process tracking systems.
  • Engage in material conversion processes as required.

III. Team Leadership:
  • Facilitate self-managed teams and empower team members.
  • Communicate effectively about process issues and improvement suggestions.
  • Assist in establishing and monitoring team objectives.

IV. Training and Development:
  • Provide technical coaching and identify training needs within the team.
  • Deliver training sessions as necessary.

V. Continuous Improvement:
  • Identify opportunities for process enhancements and contribute to operational planning.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and predictive maintenance programs.

VI. Compliance and Safety:
  • Adhere to all regulatory standards and participate in safety analyses.
  • Assist in the development and review of standard operating procedures.

Qualifications:

Applicants should possess a technical or trade school certificate, with an Associate's degree preferred. A minimum of six years of experience in manufacturing operations or a related field is required, along with at least two years of supervisory experience. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to work independently and lead teams effectively.

Technical Skills:
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks within the production environment.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Proficient in computer applications and production documentation.

Physical Requirements:
The role involves exposure to both office and manufacturing environments, requiring the use of personal protective equipment. Candidates must be able to lift up to 55 pounds and navigate all areas of the facility.
