Job Summary
The Los Angeles Community College District is seeking a dynamic and motivated Adjunct Instructor to teach Law courses at our colleges. As a member of our faculty team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction, promoting student learning, and contributing to the academic success of our students.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach a range of Law courses, including introductory and advanced courses, to students with diverse backgrounds and learning styles.
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans, assessments, and evaluations to promote student learning and achievement.
- Provide individualized support and guidance to students, including academic advising and mentorship.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum, assessments, and instructional strategies.
- Participate in departmental and college-wide initiatives to promote student success and academic excellence.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Law or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Experience teaching Law courses at the community college level or higher.
- Strong knowledge of Law principles, theories, and practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations, including students with disabilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Doctoral degree in Law or a related field.
- Experience with online learning platforms and technologies.
- Knowledge of curriculum development and instructional design principles.
- Experience working with diverse student populations, including students from underrepresented groups.
