Position Overview

The role of the Sales Analyst (Inventory) is crucial in enhancing and managing the precision of demand signals for both raw materials and finished products within our carton operations. This position is integral to our Customer Service converting organization and offers a pathway for growth aligned with our Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) framework.

Key Responsibilities

  • Forecast Management: Analyze and refine current forecasting processes to achieve optimal service levels and operational efficiency.
  • Data Analysis: Pull historical data and assess cost impacts to develop effective inventory strategies.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with sales and plant personnel to present opportunities for improvement and ensure alignment with customer needs.

Essential Functions

  • Identify areas for action based on forecast analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with business parameters and make production order recommendations.
  • Manage board orders to align with lead times and capacity.

Strategic Planning

Engage in strategic discussions to review and optimize inventory levels, ensuring alignment with division goals and customer supply requirements. Collaborate with the Customer Service Demand Planning Manager to evaluate cost implications of new strategies.

Customer Interaction

Communicate effectively with customers regarding product shortages and forecasting discrepancies, providing solutions to enhance accuracy.

Qualifications

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Solid understanding of customer account management and manufacturing processes.
  • Proficient in ERP systems, with a preference for SAP.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
