The Field Operations Support Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring that farm staff have the necessary resources to perform their duties effectively, facilitating the safe and timely transport of harvests, and providing essential support for overall farm operations.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage transportation of lettuce and vine crops within the farm, including moving from greenhouses to packing and cold storage.

- Ensure a steady supply of harvest containers to greenhouses, including cleaning and sanitizing containers, and delivering them ahead of harvest schedules.

- Supply and remove green waste bins to and from greenhouses, ensuring that they are adequately stocked and that full bins are not left overnight.

- Oversee trash disposal of bulk loads at designated facilities.
- Transport empty pallets from local suppliers to the farm.
- Provide general forklift and logistical support as needed.

- Ensure that forklifts and other rechargeable vehicles are charged and report any damages or malfunctions immediately.

- Maintain overall site cleanliness and organization, including the removal of weeds and debris.
- Safely operate forklifts and farm vehicles in compliance with all relevant policies and regulations.
- Assist with maintenance and special projects as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned to ensure smooth operations.
Minimum Experience Required:

- At least six (6) months of experience in warehouse or distribution environments.
Required Skills, Abilities, and Qualifications:

- Adherence to physical and food safety protocols is essential.
- Ability to quickly adapt to changing business needs.
- Self-motivated and proactive in identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Strong collaboration skills with various teams; excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, along with a positive attitude.
- Capability to complete tasks within designated timelines and meet deadlines.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work in environments exposed to elements such as UV light and heat.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods.
Preferred Skills, Abilities, and Qualifications:


- Knowledge or experience in food safety and recall tracking, Good Agricultural Practices (GAP), and food handling techniques that minimize contamination and maintain product quality.

- Mechanical experience (working on vehicles or shop equipment, etc.)
Educational Requirements:

- High School diploma or equivalent.
Certifications and Licenses:

- Ability to obtain forklift, manlift, scissor lift, and articulating boom lift certifications within 90 days of employment.
- Possession of a valid Class C Driver's License issued by the State of Hawaii, with a clean driving record.
