Job Title: Director of Industry Development

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our team as a Director of Industry Development. This role will be responsible for driving business growth and development in the cleantech industry, with a focus on attracting and retaining companies in New York State.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategies to attract and retain cleantech companies in New York State
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including industry leaders, government officials, and other business partners
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to companies on site selection, incentives, and other business development opportunities
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop and implement business growth initiatives
  • Represent New York State at industry conferences and events
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in business administration, economics, public administration, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in business development, economic development, or a related field
  • Proven track record of success in attracting and retaining companies in a competitive market
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
