The Biomedical Equipment Technician II plays a vital role in ensuring the optimal functioning of medical equipment at our healthcare facility. This position requires a high level of technical expertise and attention to detail to perform routine maintenance, repairs, and calibrations of biomedical equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on basic clinical equipment, including thermometers, EKG machines, and infusion pumps, in accordance with established procedures.
  • Emergency Repairs: Address and prioritize emergency calls for the immediate repair of basic biomedical equipment via our computerized maintenance management system.
  • Equipment Inspection: Inspect and document newly purchased basic clinical equipment, collaborating with team members to identify and assign proper future PM tasks in accordance with our Medical Equipment Management Plan.
  • Collaboration and Training: Accompany senior technicians on repair requests or preventive maintenance of mid-level complexity clinical equipment when called upon.
Requirements:
  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent required; Associate Degree in Biomedical Equipment Technology or a closely related field preferred.
  • Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years of general electromechanical troubleshooting experience is required.
  • Certifications: CBET certification preferred.
