Requirements
Position Overview:
As a Heavy Equipment Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing various heavy equipment including diesel engines, heavy trucks, construction equipment, bulldozers etc. This position requires a strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and other mechanical systems to effectively diagnose and repair equipment. The ideal candidate will have experience working with Cummins engines and a strong understanding of heavy equipment maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on various heavy equipment including diesel engines, heavy trucks, construction equipment, and bulldozers
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues using diagnostic tools and manuals
- Repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems using hand and power tools
- Conduct thorough inspections of equipment to identify potential issues and provide recommendations for repairs or replacements
- Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed on equipment
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient and timely completion of repairs
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience servicing Heavy Equipment/Trucks or Construction Equipment
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines and heavy equipment maintenance
- Experience working with Cummins engines preferred
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and repair manuals
- Strong understanding of hydraulics and other mechanical systems
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
