Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity for a results-driven Production Manager to join Aliaxis as a key member of our team. As a Production Manager, you will be responsible for leading the execution of production schedules, ensuring a safe working environment, and driving quality and productivity improvements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Health, Safety & Environment / Quality
    • Ensure a safe working environment for all employees, adhering to local health and safety legislative requirements.
    • Train workers to perform work safely and recognize potential and actual danger in the workplace.
    • Enforce and adhere to all plant health, safety, and environmental programs.
    • Manage staff activities to ensure products manufactured daily meet quality and budget as set by the daily schedule.
    • Identify performance and quality issues and formulate action plans to rectify problems as variances occur.
  • Production
    • Lead the execution of the production schedule in an effective manner.
    • Prepare operating reports to summarize machine efficiency, downtime, scrap rates, change over times, and variance performance by machine and by shift in the production area.
    • Lead the development of a culture where 5S and housekeeping are maintained at world-class levels and there is genuine pride in the workplace.
    • Engage all members of the team in continuous improvement and drive world-class results.
    • Use HR processes and systems to develop the potential of all team members and proactively deal with performance issues.
  • People
    • Contribute to the development of a Best Place to Work objective.
    • Ensure that Group organizational standards for management for Health and Safety, and problem-solving and other lean methods, techniques, and processes are adhered to.
    • Attend to individual needs to help develop a culture of change leadership.
    • Participate in the training and development of plant employees.
Requirements
  • Completion of College or University with combined with 5 years manufacturing and supervisory experience where change management skills have been developed.
  • A consistent track record in Change Management, Continuous Improvement methods (Six Sigma, Lean, 5S) in a manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent leadership, initiative, organization, and management skills; written and verbal communication; problem-solving; and troubleshooting skills.
  • A solid understanding of software applications such as ERP/MES systems, MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • The candidate must be able to assess the requirements of a fast-growing business and respond with the right strategic direction.
  • Proven leadership experience in companies that have undergone spectacular growth and/or significant change.
