Job Description

SAIC is seeking an experienced professional to join our team as a Network Systems Lead, supporting the U.S. Southern Command's Cyber IT Enterprise Services (SCITES) program. The selected candidate will play a critical role in providing contingency planning, operations, and security operations to Central America, South America, and the Caribbean regions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of network operations and engineering staff in supporting global network systems and subsystems, troubleshooting LAN, MPLS, WAN, and network/service availability issues, and making recommendations for system fixes and enhancements.
  • Plan and execute large-scale systems projects, including vendor comparison and trade/cost studies, to meet project requirements while maintaining interoperability with existing legacy systems.
  • Develop and implement system-level design and configuration of products, including determination of hardware, software, operating systems, and other platform specifications.
  • Coordinate daily customer communications and reporting, and maintain a strong client interface at senior levels of the client organization.
  • Oversee multiple technical task leads to ensure system/security operational capabilities, availability, and compliance.
  • Contribute to strategic plans and reviews, and champion the integration of industry best practices and innovation to improve operational performance, availability, capacity, and cost efficiency.
  • Identify trends, determine system improvements, and implement changes to maintain and improve customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree with 9 years of experience or equivalent experience.
  • TS security clearance with SCI eligibility.
  • DoD 8570 certification (minimum Information Assurance Management (IAM) Level III).
  • Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) certification.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience supporting global network systems and subsystems, troubleshooting LAN, MPLS, WAN, and network/service availability, and making recommendations for system fixes and enhancements.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience leading teams of network operations/engineering staff with skills applicable to a program environment.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience planning and executing local and long-haul communications.
  • Master's degree in engineering, computer science, or other related technical field.
  • Demonstrated experience with risk management and making recommendations for leveraging network installations and reducing operation costs.
  • Minimum of 3 years of working experience supporting and troubleshooting firewall appliances and rulesets and working with firewall solutions.
