Job Summary

SAIC is seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Lead to join our team in support of the U.S. Southern Command's Cyber IT Enterprise Services (SCITES). The successful candidate will help provide our Nation with contingency planning, operations, and security operations to Central America, South America, and the Caribbean areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct risk and vulnerability assessments at the network, system, and application level.
  • Develop and implement security controls and formulate operational risk mitigations, including security awareness programs.
  • Involved in a wide range of security issues, including architectures, firewalls, electronic data traffic, and network access.
  • Research, evaluate, and recommend new security tools, techniques, and technologies, and introduce them to the enterprise in alignment with IT security strategy.
  • Prepare security reports to regulatory agencies.
  • Establish strict program control processes to ensure mitigation of risks and support obtaining certification and accreditation of systems.
  • Assist in the implementation of the required government policy (RMF) and make recommendations on process tailoring.
  • Perform analyses to validate established security requirements and recommend additional security requirements and safeguards.
  • Support the formal Security Test and Evaluation (ST&E) required by each government accrediting authority through pre-test preparations, participation in the tests, analysis of the results, and preparation of required reports.
  • Periodically conduct reviews of each system's audits and monitor corrective actions until all actions are closed.
  • Manage subordinate management and/or experienced specialist employees who exercise significant latitude and independence.
  • Establish operating policies and procedures that affect departments and subordinate sections and work units.
  • May be involved in development of budgets, schedules, and performance standards.
  • Decisions have an extended impact on work processes and outcomes.
  • Interact frequently with internal and external management and senior-level customer representatives concerning projects, operational decisions, scheduling requirements, and/or contractual clarifications.
  • Lead briefings and technical meetings for internal and external representatives.
  • Cybersecurity planning and policy creation.
  • Provide oversight and management in the implementation and configuration of vulnerability testing and reporting, network monitoring and reporting, investigations and postmortem analysis, troubleshooting both security and network issues, testing and identifying network and system vulnerabilities.
  • Provide Computer Network Defense, Cryptography, Identity Management, Information Assurance, Information Systems/Network Security, Infrastructure Design, Vulnerabilities Assessment.
Qualifications
  • BS with 14 years or equivalent experience.
  • Must have one of the following certifications: Certified Chief Information Security Officer (CCISO), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Global Information Assurance Certification (GIAC) Security, or Leadership Certification (GSLC).
  • Must meet IAM III requirements of DoD 8570.01M.
  • Top Secret Clearance.
  • 10+ years of experience in network security policy implementation.
  • Leading cybersecurity teams with a combination of CND, scanning and compliance, and Risk Management Framework (A&A), and Cyber Security Service Provider (CSSP) execution.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in a DoD Cyber Security Service Provider (CSSP) and CORA on IT networks, in the past seven years, as lead or management position.
Desired Qualifications
  • PMP Certification.
