**SUMMARY:**

The Site Operations Manager will oversee and coordinate daily construction activities within an active project environment to ensure the effective and successful achievement of project goals. This role involves collaborating with the project director and/or project manager to formulate execution strategies, schedules, and detailed plans that prioritize safety and efficiency in project fieldwork, aligning with client, business, and project milestones.

The Site Operations Manager will provide technical guidance and expertise to on-site trade personnel across various disciplines, demonstrating proficiency in methodologies essential for the successful completion of site-specific tasks. This includes technical knowledge regarding means and methods, site coordination, complex installations, logistics, schedule management, safety protocols, and quality assurance in the field. The Manager must possess the capability to assess whether installations comply with all relevant drawings and specifications and to implement corrective measures for any discrepancies.

Leadership and management skills are crucial for success in this role. As a leader, the Site Operations Manager must exhibit effective communication skills to foster consensus among project team members and stakeholders. Responsibilities include documenting daily field activities, which encompass photographs, manpower reports, delays, safety observations, and other essential records that reflect the project's progress and activities.

This position reports directly to the Senior Construction Manager or Project Manager on-site and ultimately to the Project Director.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:**
  • Oversee all on-site construction functions in accordance with established precedents, policies, procedures, and requirements set by CSM Group.
  • Exhibit mastery in the construction project workflow and plan accordingly.
  • Identify risks that may jeopardize the timely or safe completion of projects and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Participate in Project Coordination/Preconstruction Meetings, providing valuable constructability insights.
  • Review Bid Documents to gain familiarity with project scope.
  • Coordinate and lead project kickoff meetings prior to subcontractor mobilization.
  • Maintain general safety supervision and awareness with the support of safety specialists.
  • Manage project execution, including but not limited to:
    • Trade/Vendor Coordination & logistics
    • Daily Reports
    • Development of Project Schedule
    • Regular updates to the Project Master Schedule and 3-week look-ahead schedule
    • Drive outcomes in the field to support schedule milestones
    • Site Supervision and Project Coordination
    • Review and authorize Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) forms, hot work permits, and other safety documentation.
    • Conduct Quality Control Inspections
  • Coordinate with relevant authorities for permit issuance and signoff.
  • Facilitate Progress Meetings among trades and stakeholders.
  • Utilize available Business Technology platforms to enhance efficiency, including Procore, BlueBeam, MS Teams, and other relevant tools.
  • Monitor performance, progress, and manpower issues, resolving them as necessary.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Senior PM/CM and Project Director.
**MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:**
  • At least 8 years of relevant construction management experience in heavy construction, preferably with a Construction Management, General Contracting, or trade contracting firm.
  • A Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is advantageous but not mandatory, provided there is a suitable combination of education and experience.
  • Familiarity with building codes (IBC, NEC, ASME, UMC, NFPA, etc.) is highly desirable.
  • Trade certifications and licenses are a plus.
  • Demonstrated track record of effective safety implementation and a successful safety performance record.
  • Completion of OSHA 30-hour training is preferred.
  • Experience with projects valued over $25,000,000 is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in contemporary technology platforms or a willingness to learn is essential.
