The State of Kansas is seeking a highly skilled Program Coordinator to join our team. As a Program Coordinator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the protection of resident rights and providing a humane, home-like environment for individuals living at Parsons State Hospital and Training Center.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise a diverse group of staff across three shifts to ensure the delivery of person-centered services and training.
- Coordinate and prioritize the delivery of services to meet the individual requests, preferences, and needs of each resident.
- Maintain accurate records to ensure the varied responsibilities of this position are met.
- Review and evaluate tasks to ensure compliance with ICF/MR standards, agency policies, and procedures.
- One year of experience in planning, organizing, and directing the work of a department, program, or agency.
- Education may be substituted for experience as determined relevant by the agency.
- ICF/MR regulations mandate that the person in this position must possess a R.N. or a bachelor's degree in a human service field and at least one year of experience working directly with individuals with mental retardation or other developmental disabilities.
- Experience in leadership, supervision, or advocacy for people with disabilities.
- Experience in developing and implementing person-centered planning services.
The Program Coordinator will work in a fast-paced environment and must be available for a varied work schedule, which may include days, evenings, nights, weekends, or holidays.
