Clinical Therapist, Traditional/Outpatient Bilingual Spanish Program

VIP Community Mental Health is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Therapist to join our team in our Traditional/Outpatient Bilingual Spanish Program. As a Clinical Therapist, you will provide individual and family counseling, advocacy services, and diagnostic and treatment services to children, young adults, and families in accordance with their specific therapeutic needs.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct clinical work and/or therapeutic services to clients using a team and community-based approach.
- Assess the needs and symptoms of clients, formulating diagnosis, gathering history, and determining the most appropriate method(s) of providing treatment.
- Accurately document all work with clients as measured by QA standards.
- Participate in clinical/case supervision and establish and maintain rapport and effective working relationships with clients.
- Advocate and/or ensure accompaniment for clients with the goal to ensure satisfactory placement of a child in a safe, permanent, and stable home setting.
- Maintain knowledge of program standards and policies as developed by Five Acres, COA, Community Care Licensing and other governing bodies.
- Ph.D/Psy.D. or D/MSW/MFT degree from an accredited university.
- Bilingual in Spanish is required.
- Strong clinical and communication skills.
- Ability to relate effectively and professionally with children, supervisor, co-workers and staff.
- Strong computer skills, Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word and web-based Electronic Health Record software (CareLogic).
- Must be willing to submit to a background investigation.
- Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States.
- Must have current licensure the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) (AMFT, LMFT, ACSW, LCSW), unlicensed PH.D/PsyD. is eligible for DMH waiver; must maintain CA BBS licensure in good standing.
