Position Overview

Salary Range: $25-$30 per hour

Mount Family Group, LTD is seeking an experienced Inventory Management Specialist in the Leominster area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and regulate inventory levels, ensuring accurate tracking of stock movements and performing regular stock audits to maintain precise inventory records.
  • Conduct inspections of incoming inventory shipments, confirming quantities, quality, and condition of goods received against documentation.
  • Maintain and update inventory databases and systems to reflect all stock transactions and adjustments, ensuring records are current and accurate.
  • Prepare detailed inventory reports, analyzing stock levels, aging trends, and turnover ratios to evaluate inventory performance and identify potential issues.
  • Manage stock rotation and monitor shelf-life for perishable goods to minimize waste and ensure product quality.
  • Implement effective inventory control strategies, such as FIFO (first-in, first-out) and LIFO (last-in, first-out), to enhance inventory turnover and reduce obsolescence.
  • Perform regular inventory audits, reconciling physical counts with recorded data, and investigating any discrepancies.
  • Analyze inventory discrepancies and shortages, conducting root cause assessments and applying corrective measures.
  • Collaborate with warehouse teams to ensure efficient storage and distribution of inventory items, optimizing warehouse organization.
  • Establish and uphold inventory management best practices and standard operating procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field; certification in inventory management is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated experience in inventory management and warehouse operations, preferably within a manufacturing context.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret inventory data and make informed decisions.
  • Proficient in inventory management software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Meticulous attention to detail in inventory tracking and data management.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of working effectively with diverse teams.
  • Proficient problem-solving abilities with a focus on identifying issues and implementing solutions.
  • Knowledge of inventory control principles and regulatory requirements.
