Job Overview

The International Society for Bayesian Analysis is seeking a highly skilled Quantitative Research Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on developing novel statistical methodologies for the development and analysis of Federal statistical data.

About the Role

We are looking for an expert in statistical modeling, including nonparametric and machine learning approaches, as well as Bayesian hierarchical probability modeling. As a Bayesian Methodologist, you will conduct research to devise novel statistical methodologies and publish findings in peer-reviewed journals.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct research to develop novel statistical methodologies for the development and analysis of Federal statistical data.
  • Collaborate with researchers in both government and academia to encourage methodological research targeting BLS data.
  • Develop and implement statistical methodologies that improve the quality of estimation and prediction for published statistics.
Requirements
  • Masters or PhD in Statistics or related field.
  • Expertise in statistical modeling, including nonparametric and machine learning approaches, as well as Bayesian hierarchical probability modeling.
  • Strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals.
Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per year, based on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package.
