Digital Experience Research Specialist

Analytica, a leading consulting and information technology solutions provider to public sector organizations, is seeking a seasoned Digital Experience Research Specialist to join their dynamic team. This role will play a vital part in supporting a large digitalization effort, driving user-centered journey mapping, and developing workflow update recommendations.

This individual will work closely with cross-functional teams, including designers, product managers, and engineers, to integrate user insights into the design process. Some travel will be involved to various client sites throughout the US.

About the Role:

Responsibilities
  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative research, including interviews, surveys, usability testing, and field studies, to gather insights about user experiences and needs.
  • Analyze research data to identify patterns, trends, and user pain points. Synthesize findings into actionable insights.
  • Create user personas and journey maps based on research findings to guide design decisions.
  • Develop low-fidelity and high-fidelity prototypes for testing concepts and iterating based on user feedback.
  • Plan and conduct usability tests on existing products and features to assess user experience and identify areas for improvement.
  • Document research methodologies, findings, and recommendations clearly for team members and stakeholders.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, tools, and methodologies in HCD and UX research to continually enhance skills and processes.
  • Advocate for the user perspective within the organization, promoting user-centered practices across teams.
  • Present research findings and recommendations to stakeholders, ensuring that insights inform design strategies and product development.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), User Experience (UX) Design, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience as a Design Researcher.
  • Demonstrated understanding of User-centered or Human-centered design principles, User Experience Research including journey mapping, and other best practices in design or management consulting.
  • Experience with Agile methodology.
  • Must be a US citizen.
  • Active IRS MBI Security Clearance.
