Job Summary

Mountain Youth Academy, a UHS company, is seeking a Residential Counselor to join our team. As a key member of our treatment planning team, you will observe and report physical and behavioral symptoms under the direction of the Shift Supervisor/Residential Manager.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as a role model to staff and students in dress and demeanor.
  • Exercise appropriate interventions under the direction of the Residential Manager.
  • Perform proper HWC techniques, demonstrating knowledge of student and staff safety.
  • Monitor patients in school, on-dorm, during recreational activities, and provide guidance in daily life skills.
Qualifications
  • Degree preferred in human services or a related field and one year of residential care experience.
  • The facility accepts a candidate with the minimum requirements by the State of Tennessee as a high school diploma for employment.
