The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition/Food Service Management, Dietetics, or a related field, and be registered with the Commission of Dietetic Registration through the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. A Master's degree in Nutrition or a related field is preferred.

As a Clinical Dietitian, you will be responsible for developing and implementing nutrition care plans, utilizing information regarding patients' medical, psychological, cultural, spiritual, ethical, and social needs. You will also possess and apply knowledge of the Nutrition Care Process advocated by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement nutrition care plans for patients
  • Utilize information regarding patients' medical, psychological, cultural, spiritual, ethical, and social needs
  • Possess and apply knowledge of the Nutrition Care Process advocated by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics
  • Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to provide patient-centered care
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest nutrition research and guidelines

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition/Food Service Management, Dietetics, or a related field
  • Registered with the Commission of Dietetic Registration through the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics
  • Master's degree in Nutrition or a related field preferred
  • 2 years of experience in a hospital setting or nursing home preferred

Working Conditions:

  • Works in a clean, well-lit, heated, or ventilated facility
  • Frequent contact with various Medical Center staff, employees, and community members
  • May be exposed to odors, chemical agents, dust, fumes, gases, sharp objects, hazardous or moving equipment, wet slippery floors, and extremes in temperature and humidity

Physical Demands:

  • Demonstrates physical and functional ability to perform full anatomical range of motion to accomplish tasks
  • Evidence of visual and aural acuity and finger and hand dexterity to operate point of sales system, computer, and office equipment
  • Ability to lift 10 lbs

Mental Demands:

  • Ability to foster collaborative relationships, to work well under pressure, to organize and synthesize new information, and prioritize tasks
  • Possesses critical thinking, analytical skills, and flexibility
