Job Title: Senior Systems Engineer SME

Huntington Ingalls Industries, Mission Technologies Division, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Engineer SME to join our team. As a key member of our Systems Engineering team, you will be responsible for performing technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in systems engineering, with experience in radar design and signals analysis. You will work closely with our technical experts to define requirements and advance capability development. Your ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders, both technical and non-technical, is essential.

This is a 100% onsite position at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, with no virtual or hybrid work options. The successful candidate will be required to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance with advanced security checks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems.
  • Work closely with technical experts to define requirements and advance capability development.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, both technical and non-technical.
  • Participate in system design and trade studies, RF chain analysis, algorithm development, and system performance analysis.
  • Support technical publications and responsible for planning, implementing, and reporting on Systems Engineering activities.
Requirements:
  • 15 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree in a related field, or 13 years with a Master's degree, or 10 years with a PhD, or 19 years with a High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Significant experience with radar design or signals analysis.
  • Outstanding ability to communicate via telephone and email with stakeholders in remote locations.
  • Extensive experience working with technical experts to define requirements.
  • Successful demonstration of technical and programmatic risk identification and mitigation.
