BioLife Plasma Services operates as a subsidiary of Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Ltd.

This role will necessitate 6-8 weeks of travel for training purposes. All travel-related expenses for training will be covered by the company, including flight costs, rental vehicles, accommodations, and meals. Weekend travel home may be discussed further during the interview process.

Plasma Center Technician Role

Every day, the donors you interact with will inspire you. The high-quality plasma you collect will be transformed into life-saving medications. Here, a dedication to customer service and quality is paramount.

Your daily responsibilities may include:

  • Outstanding Customer Service: Answering phone calls, greeting, and focusing on our donors while ensuring the safety of both donors and our team.
  • Medical History Documentation: Utilizing your attention to detail to screen new and returning donors, recording vital signs and finger stick results. You will manage our Donor Information System, prepare donor files, maintain accurate records, and coordinate donor compensation.
  • Continuous Improvement Initiatives: Identifying operational opportunities for enhancement, initiating changes to center processes as needed, following company-approved procedures.
  • Collaborative Teamwork: Working in our fast-paced team environment; ensuring a clean and professional workspace; attending team meetings; collaborating closely with your management team; and problem-solving collectively.
  • Reliability: Being present for our donors, which includes working various shifts, weekends, and holidays.
  • Phlebotomy Skills: Learning to install, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot advanced plasmapheresis machines while ensuring donor safety.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to walk and/or stand for the entire work shift
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to lean, bend, stoop, crouch, and reach above shoulders and below knees
  • Ability to lift up to 5 lbs., with occasional lifting of materials up to 32 lbs. and rarely 50 lbs.
  • Fine motor coordination, depth perception, and ability to hear equipment from a distance
  • Due to potential exposure to blood borne pathogens (risk level 1), 90% of work tasks require prolonged glove wear
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Experience in food service, retail, healthcare, laboratory, or a regulated environment
  • Strong customer service abilities
  • Desire to thrive in a fast-paced workplace
