Pascagoula Mississippi, United States Serco North America Full time

Position Overview:
Join Serco North America as a Lead Specialist in Amphibious Systems Production.

In this role, you will collaborate with a dedicated team focused on overseeing the delivery of innovative amphibious vessels and landing crafts to the naval fleet.

Serco operates within a team guided by seasoned Program Managers who possess extensive experience in the Department of Defense (DoD) and the shipbuilding sector.

This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance after employment.

Our Naval Acquisition and Sustainment Operations, part of Serco's Maritime Engineering, Technology, and Sustainment (METS) division, provide essential services to nearly all U.S. Navy amphibious ships and crafts. You will engage closely with government and industry experts, shipbuilders, and various support staff.

Our Primary Goal:

is to ensure our clients' mission objectives are met with the utmost capability and assurance, while minimizing costs.

Bring your expertise and teamwork skills to contribute significantly to our military defense and the safety of our sailors and marines.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct thorough analysis of shipyard progress data and metrics, along with other pertinent information to provide insights to clients regarding current and emerging issues.

Utilize tools such as Integrated Master Schedule, Cost Performance Reports, and Ship Production Analysis data. Evaluate data and metrics to identify and eliminate production bottlenecks, resource allocation challenges, or other factors affecting vessel delivery.

Monitor and track the completion progress of hardware, services, or systems through delivery and government acceptance.

Perform financial and schedule trend analysis, including data entry, file management, and reporting functions.

Employ moderately complex quantitative analytical techniques to evaluate production process challenges and devise risk reduction/mitigation strategies for enhancing program planning, control, and execution.

Participate in baseline and performance assessments.

Assist clients in analyzing and refining ship construction and repair process policies and procedures.

Lead and mentor team members in their work.

Qualifications:
To excel in this position, you will need:

A Bachelor's Degree along with 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in shipboard production compliance, validating compartment completion for new construction vessels, quality audits, and Government Furnished Equipment (GFE).

Military or DoD experience may substitute for a degree if 12 or more years of specific work experience can be demonstrated in a comparable or higher-level role.

Work experience may be adjusted based on education or specialized knowledge or experience for positions involving new technology or labor market shortages as indicated by market survey data.

A valid DoD Secret clearance must be obtainable post-employment.

U.S. citizenship is required.

Proficiency in operating personal computers and a solid understanding of Microsoft Office tools is essential.

Capability to support activities in a shipyard or naval facility.

Some tasks may occur in an industrial field office, outdoors, or aboard a ship during construction, alteration, activation, overhaul, repair, or trials.

Walking and climbing throughout the ship to conduct inspections may be necessary.

Exposure to high noise levels, uncomfortable temperatures, heights, or other industrial safety conditions will necessitate the use of personal protective equipment.

Willingness to travel (less than 10%) to support activities in a shipyard or naval facility or onboard ship while underway.

Additional Preferred Experience and Skills:
Relevant experience with the U.S. Navy or U.S. Coast Guard in ship construction or repair is highly desirable. Experience in the construction or repair of amphibious warships and crafts is particularly beneficial.

If you are passionate about supporting our military and sailors, consider joining the dedicated team at Serco North America.
