Job Overview:
As an Electrical Systems Training Specialist, you will be responsible for the design, development, and implementation of comprehensive training programs tailored for field support personnel and clients.
Your role will involve gathering essential information to create effective in-house training sessions, preparing educational materials, and developing course content. You will also determine the most effective training methodologies and oversee the creation of training aids.
Conducting training sessions and establishing criteria to assess the effectiveness of these activities will be key components of your responsibilities. You may collaborate with technical experts to enhance the training experience. It is crucial to continuously update lesson plans to align with evolving training needs and ensure that technical information remains current.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and development of training products focused on U.S. Navy DDG, LPD, and LHA Class electrical systems.
- Prior experience in instructional design for training product development is essential.
- Experience in training development for U.S. Navy vessels is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Develop and deliver training on DDG 51, LPD 17, and LHA 6 Class electrical system power generation, distribution, and control systems to Pre-Commissioning Navy Personnel.
- Conduct operational training in an industrial setting and facilitate instructor-led classes.
- Expect approximately 15% travel to Pre-Commissioning Detachments.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience is required.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to thrive in a motivated team environment and exhibit strong interpersonal skills in both classroom and operational settings.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related instructional discipline.

- Travel Requirements: Yes, 10%-25% of the time.
- Shift: 1st.
- Relocation Assistance: Not available.
