Job Summary

This position is responsible for driving a truck or van covering established routes to deliver products to accounts for National Distributors, Inc.

Key Responsibilities
  • Delivery Operations
    • Drive a truck or van to deliver products safely and efficiently to assigned accounts daily.
    • Safely unload and deliver product into retail accounts.
    • Collect payment from accounts and record transactions on customer receipt.
  • Customer Service
    • Listen to and resolve service complaints.
    • Provide excellent customer service to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Vehicle Maintenance
    • Perform daily pre and post trip vehicle inspections and complete report.
    • Clean the inside of the truck and keep it organized.
  • Administrative Tasks
    • Complete daily work assignments in an accurate and timely manner.
    • Support a positive and productive work environment by being respectful, civil, and helpful.
  • Compliance and Safety
    • Understand and observe all safety rules and practices to prevent injuries and/or damage.
    • Adhere to all Company rules, policies, procedures, and expectations.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Prior driving and/or delivery experience preferred.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Valid Class C Driver's License.
    • Acceptable driving performance over the last twelve months.
    • Demonstrated communication skills to effectively interact with managers, sales staff, and customers.
    • Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
    • Ability to speak, read, and write English at a high school level.
    • Ability to perform basic math functions.
  • Physical Demands
    • Regularly use hands to handle or feel; reach forward and overhead with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
    • Regularly drive a truck or van.
    • Regularly lift and/or carry up to 50lbs and push/pull pounds.
    • Frequently stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
    • Frequently sit, climb, or balance.
Work Environment
  • Employees are occasionally exposed to product cooler environments of noise, dust, etc.
  • Work requires exposure to daily temperatures to usual beer cooler temperatures of 38 degrees.
