We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Lead Mobile Phlebotomist to join our team at TridentCare. As a key member of our phlebotomy team, you will be responsible for collecting blood samples from patients in various healthcare settings, ensuring accurate and efficient specimen collection and processing.
Key Responsibilities- Collect blood samples from patients in nursing homes and other healthcare facilities, following established phlebotomy procedures and protocols.
- Accurately identify patients and ensure proper labeling and handling of specimens.
- Transport specimens to the laboratory for processing, adhering to phlebotomy policy on transporting PHI.
- Plan and organize draw schedules, maintaining accurate records and logs.
- Collaborate with dispatch, payroll, laboratory, and courier departments to ensure seamless operations.
- Maintain equipment in good working order and report any issues to the Area Phlebotomy Supervisor.
- Respond promptly to company-issued mobile devices and be available to work as scheduled.
- Current clinical licensure, if required by state or local regulations.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and phlebotomy procedures, including venipuncture and decontamination techniques.
- Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Good driving record and ability to work under minimal supervision.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to maintain effective working relationships with clients, patients, and staff members.
