About the Role

The US Navy is seeking highly skilled Social Workers to join the Navy Medical Service Corps. As a Social Worker in the Navy, you will provide critical support to servicemembers and their families, addressing their mental health needs and promoting overall well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide counseling and therapy services to individuals, couples, and families
  • Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans to address mental health issues
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide comprehensive care
  • Develop and implement programs to promote mental health and wellness
  • Provide crisis intervention and support services

Requirements

To be eligible for this role, you must:

  • Be a US citizen currently practicing in the US
  • Hold a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from a CSWE-accredited program
  • Have a minimum of two years' full-time supervised clinical social work experience
  • Be licensed/certified as a clinical social worker in the jurisdiction where practicing
  • Be willing to serve a minimum of three years of Active Duty
Reserve Opportunities

The Navy also offers opportunities for Social Workers to serve in the Navy Reserve. As a Reserve Sailor, you will have the flexibility to balance your civilian practice with your military responsibilities.
