Program Director - Respiratory Therapy

Carrington College is seeking a dedicated and experienced professional to assume a key leadership position in our Respiratory Therapy program. As a Program Director, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the academic and professional development of our students.

Job Summary

The Program Director will be responsible for overseeing the academic program, including student success initiatives, faculty management, and academic quality assurance. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our students and contribute to the growth of our institution.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement retention strategies to support student success and academic achievement
  • Manage faculty assigned to teach in the program, including externship quality and clinical site management, to ensure a high-quality learning experience
  • Conduct classroom observations and provide feedback to faculty to promote professional growth and development
  • Participate in program review process and assess student learning outcome data to inform academic decisions
  • Cascade pertinent information to faculty and provide program-specific training to ensure a cohesive and effective academic environment
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Registered Respiratory Therapy (RRT) credential and current state license
  • BLS for the Healthcare Provider
  • Minimum of 4 years' experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist with at least 2 years in clinical respiratory care
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience teaching in a CoARC-accredited respiratory care program or as a clinical instructor/preceptor
