About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapy Specialist to join our team at Phoenix Children's. As a key member of our Respiratory Care department, you will play a critical role in coordinating, facilitating, and reviewing Respiratory Care practices, orientations, and ongoing education.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and provide new employee orientation programs, continually evaluating program effectiveness and making improvements as necessary
  • Serve as a clinical expert and resource in regards to clinical practices, evaluating and developing plans to identify and address educational needs and deficiencies
  • Safely perform various diagnostic and therapeutic procedures according to established standards, procedural guidelines, and policies
  • Interact with patients, families, and the healthcare team in an understandable manner based on individual diversity and learning styles
  • Analyze critical situations and apply appropriate judgment and critical thinking for problem resolution
  • Work effectively in a team-based environment, displaying leadership skills to instill trust and credibility
  • Stay current on operational issues, priorities, and advances related to respiratory care, researching the latest literature and practice standards
