Job Summary

This position is located at a retail store and is responsible for maintaining outstanding customer service, generating sales, merchandising product, and supporting the store management team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction by greeting all customers, answering questions about merchandise, and using suggestive selling techniques to increase sales.
  • Merchandise product by displaying and maintaining merchandise on end caps, shelves, counters, or tables, following company plan-ograms and guidelines.
  • Process transactions accurately and efficiently, including operating a cash register, handling customer returns, and processing payments.
  • Assist with inventory management, including receiving, opening, and unpacking cartons or crates of merchandise, and replenishing stock as needed.
  • Participate in visual merchandising and store displays to create an attractive and engaging shopping environment.
  • Work effectively with colleagues and management to achieve sales goals and maintain a positive store environment.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; six months of related experience and/or training preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, write routine reports, and speak effectively with customers and associates.
  • Basic math skills and ability to handle cash and operate a cash register.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
  • Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 40 pounds, and move merchandise as needed.
Working Conditions

The work environment is a retail store with moderate noise levels and occasional exposure to outside weather conditions.

Compensation

$12.50 per hour.
