Onsite Technical Support Specialist - Medical Devices

Location: Columbus, OH

Employment Type: Full-Time Employee

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts

This role involves direct client engagement, providing support in various settings including the Operating Room, Sterile Processing Department, and Biomedical departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Daily oversight and management of KARL STORZ medical devices.
  • Ensure instrument sets are maintained in optimal condition and prepared for immediate use.
  • Manage repair and replacement costs within a specified budget.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance on all KARL STORZ devices.
  • Troubleshoot video and instrument issues in the Operating Room.
  • Inspect instruments and document their operational status.
  • Provide training and education on KARL STORZ devices and services to relevant departments.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and develop workflows to enhance efficiency and minimize repair expenses.

Additional Duties May Include:

  • Setting up and supporting KARL STORZ video systems.
  • Inspecting, repairing, troubleshooting, and replacing KARL STORZ devices.
  • Monitoring and facilitating repair and exchange transactions.
  • Transporting, cleaning, sterilizing, and packaging KARL STORZ instruments post-use.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a high school diploma.
  • 0-4 years of experience in medical device repair, sales, or service management.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel for reporting purposes.
  • Completion of a drug screening is required for safety-sensitive positions.
