Job Summary

Xylem is seeking a skilled Instrumentation Control Technician to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our water technology systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Connect, program, evaluate, and troubleshoot equipment to ensure adherence to quality and customer standards.
  • Record and report abnormal function or out of tolerance conditions of equipment and initiate corrective action and documentation.
  • Reinstall, test, evaluate, calibrate, and maintain instruments or devices upon completion of repairs.
  • Communicate with customer staff in the calibration, repair, and operation of equipment as necessary.
  • Perform work in accordance with approved equipment, calibration, maintenance, and safety procedures.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in instrumentation, controls, installing, calibrating, maintaining, and repairing equipment or equivalent.
  • Certification/licensing as required by federal, state, or local law.
  • Demonstrated use and understanding of physical standards of mass, temperature, flow, and pressure.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office suite and ERP systems.
  • Required to be able to read and work from blueprints, schematic diagrams, and specification manuals.
  • Must be able to read and understand detailed layout, P&ID diagrams, and assembly drawings.
  • Must be a team player committed to working in a quality environment.
  • Working knowledge of computers/PLCs.
  • Excellent customer, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to complete multiple projects within time constraints.
