About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Risk Control Specialist to join our team at Travelers Insurance. As a Risk Control Specialist, you will be responsible for designing and overseeing the delivery of Risk Control services to assigned accounts across the country.

Key Responsibilities

  • Consult with clients to identify hazards and develop strategies for reducing or preventing losses.
  • Analyze losses to identify trends and ensure comprehensive plans address loss leaders.
  • Negotiate and manage client expectations to achieve a balance between service and cost.
  • Influence clients to commit to service plans and implement recommendations.
  • Build and maintain productive relationships with underwriting, brokers, claims, and Risk Control service teams.
  • Write detailed reports communicating risk assessments and recommendations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Insurance industry knowledge preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Technical aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Superior communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to establish credibility and rapport with clients.
  • Experience working in a collaborative environment.
  • Critical thinking skills.
  • Influencing skills to drive business needs.
  • Negotiating skills to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Ability to give and receive coaching and feedback.
  • Recognized relevant certifications, such as ASP, CSP, or ARM, preferred.
