Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Storage and Data Protection Systems Administrator to join our team at Raytheon Careers. As a key member of our Digital Technology team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing storage solutions to ensure the security and integrity of our data.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement storage solutions to meet current and future needs, ensuring data security and integrity.
  • Manage and oversee existing storage solutions, including NetApp, Veritas, and other technologies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver cost-effective software and hardware solutions.
  • Work with architectural and end-user teams to gather storage requirements and ensure appropriate space and power availability.
  • Integrate and partner with customer, engineer, and storage architect teams to solve complex infrastructure problems.
  • Assure a high level of reliability and performance through systems monitoring and infrastructure management.
  • Monitor and maintain the entire system lifecycle, including hardware and software refreshes and updates.
  • Develop and maintain technical and operational documentation to improve storage and data protection.
  • Ensure compliance with security requirements, including DFARS, RMF, and NIST Cybersecurity Framework.
  • Respond to service and support requests from users, ensuring all work is tracked and documented.
Requirements
  • Typically, Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of experience or 12 years of directly related experience.
  • Subject matter expert with data storage and data backup technology tools and systems, including experience with NAS and/or SAN data storage products.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies and virtual computing concepts.
  • Experience with cloud and cloud solution technologies.
  • Strong leadership, teamwork, communication, collaboration, documentation, troubleshooting, and organizational skills.
  • Willingness to travel domestically, as needed.
  • Must be able to obtain Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140 / 8570 Certification requirements within 6 months of start date.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance prior to the start date.
Preferred Qualifications
  • In-depth knowledge of NetApp and Veritas systems.
  • Experience with Windows OS administration and Linux integration tools.
  • Experience with virtualization, VMWare vCenter, vSphere, Horizon, and ESXi.
  • Experience with compliance assessment, vulnerability, and auditing tools.
  • Experience with NISPOM, JAFAN, JSIG, DFARS, and/or DoD/RMF.
  • Experience with using Information Technology in both the project and software development lifecycle management processes.
  • Experience with monitoring tools and automation frameworks.
  • Experience with developer tools and containerization.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs, depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.
