Job Summary

Global Executive Council Services is seeking a highly skilled Human Resource Specialist to coordinate human resources activities, including employment and employee relations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of HR laws and regulations, excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage priorities and workflow.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer company-wide human resources policies, procedures, and practices in accordance with corporate objectives and federal and state legal requirements.
  • Recruit and interview candidates, providing management with hiring recommendations.
  • Coordinate the hiring process, including background and reference checks, salary negotiations, and job confirmation letters.
  • Conduct employee-relations activities and programs, including employee counseling, policy interpretation, new employee orientation, and employee recognition.
  • Design and place position announcements, advertise job openings, and participate in job fairs to attract qualified candidates.
  • Conduct exit interviews with employees and communicate findings to management.
  • Respond to inquiries regarding the organization's processes, policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Develop employees through ongoing information and training sessions, providing support and problem resolution.
  • Coordinate the distribution and communication of projects, including the Employee Policy handbook, 401(k) open enrollment, and employee recognition.
  • Identify potential employee-relations issues and make recommendations to management.
  • Investigate claims of harassment or other company-guideline violations.
  • Administer workers' compensation and unemployment claims.
  • Assist in the administration of company compensation and benefits programs.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) or equivalent, two to four years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Working knowledge of HR laws and regulations.
  • Basic competence in duties and tasks of supervised employees.
  • Experience in recruiting and staffing.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage priorities and workflow.
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams and committees.
  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prepare reports and business correspondence.
  • Ability to deal effectively with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levels.
  • Good judgement with the ability to make timely and sound decisions.
  • Creative, flexible, and innovative team player.
  • Commitment to excellence and high standards.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels and from various backgrounds.
  • Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
  • Bilingual skills a plus.
