Position Overview:
Grundfos is on the lookout for an Accounts Receivable and Credit Analyst to become a vital part of our Finance department. This role is crucial in executing all responsibilities outlined in the PPU Credit Policy and ensuring timely and efficient cash collection for the designated portfolio. The position will report directly to the Finance Director and will function in a hybrid capacity.
Relocation assistance is not available for this role, and candidates must possess the necessary authorization to work in the USA independently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage in prompt and effective communication with external clients on a daily basis to gather updates on outstanding payments.
- Document payment commitments.
- Ensure adherence to payment commitments and follow up on any discrepancies.
- Monitor account aging and initiate calls to clients to secure timely payments.
- Identify and resolve complex account issues.
- Manage accounts comprehensively using SAP FSCM Credit & Collection and dispute management tools.
- Support the credit management process to establish appropriate credit limits for clients.
- Facilitate timely resolution of disputes.
- Collaborate effectively with the cash application team to reduce unapplied cash in the assigned portfolio.
- Evaluate the necessity of issuing credits or debits promptly.
- Handle order releases in accordance with established protocols.
- Conduct account reconciliations to minimize account aging.
- Maintain clear communication with debtors and both internal and external stakeholders.
- Assist in cash collection forecasting and escalate issues to relevant contacts to mitigate overdue accounts and enhance DSO.
- Execute high-quality reporting tasks to support team management.
- Prepare for and participate in regular cash discussions.
- Assist in monitoring portfolio health, identifying concerns, trends, and making write-off recommendations.
- Engage in assigned projects and process improvement initiatives.
- Review and finalize requests for account creation and modifications.
- Set and uphold credit limits in line with the PPU Credit Policy.
- Notify relevant parties upon receipt of cash in advance payments.
- Process credit card transactions.
- Collect Resale Tax Certificates for customer accounts.
We envision that you possess:
Qualified candidates will ideally hold a university or college degree in finance or economics, or equivalent experience.
- 3-5 years of experience in a similar capacity or within a Shared Service environment.
- Advanced proficiency in English.
- Proficiency in an additional European language is a significant advantage.
- Strong understanding of the end-to-end Order to Cash processes.
- Experience in leading projects or process improvement initiatives in a Shared Service Center.
- Solid Excel skills.
- Familiarity with SAP is beneficial.
- Willingness to travel for business purposes as required (less than 10%).
