Job Summary:

The Senior Enterprise Architect will play a key role in driving the strategic direction of Sony Pictures Entertainment, Inc.'s Enterprise Architecture Program. This individual will be responsible for developing and executing architecture strategies for the company's Data and Integration domains, with a focus on driving business value and improving operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute architecture strategies for Data and Integration domains, aligning with the company's business objectives.
  • Lead the development of the Data Governance Operating Model, ensuring data quality, security, and compliance.
  • Participate in Data Transformation Projects, driving business value through data-driven decision making.
  • Support the EA Program Activities and Initiatives, including Portfolio Rationalization, Capability Analysis, Target State Architecture, and Architecture Review Board.

Leadership and Influence:

  • Partner with multiple stakeholders, including IT and Business Executives, Architects, Application Developers, System Engineers, Information Security, Procurement, CDO, Legal, and Privacy.
  • Demonstrate a track record of delivering highly matrixed programs through direct management and indirect sponsorship.
  • Drive and influence stakeholders to adopt a cost-effective, innovative, and modernization mindset through setting architecture guidance, communication, and governance.

Requirements:

  • BS/MS in Data Analytics or Computer Science.
  • 15+ years in IT with a focus on Data, Security, Integration.
  • 8+ years of experience with technology delivery positions, analytics and reporting, and Data Warehouse/Lake.
  • 5 years' experience with Enterprise Architecture Program (Architecture Review Board, Pattern, Standards, Technology Catalog, Business Application Portfolio Rationalization, Change Management process, Risk Management).
  • 5+ years of experience with data engineering/modeling, consulting/training skills, information security, data governance, architecture strategy development, and executive communication.
  • AWS/GCP/Azure Certifications preferred.
  • Experience using Collibra, SAP Datasphere, Erwin, Excel, Java, Python, LLM, Informatica, Datastage, Alteryx, Jira, ServiceNow, Sharepoint, Confluence.
  • Reporting & Analytics Skills (Power BI, Tableau, Excel).
  • Data Warehouse/Lake engineering skills.
  • 2 years understanding of data mesh architecture.
  • Data Modeling skills to represent organizational data.
  • Strong collaboration skills at building cross-functional teams.
  • Effective presentation skills capable of addressing executive as well as technical audiences.

Industry Experience:

  • Experience in Media and Entertainment with modern data management methods; Banking/Finance/Healthcare/Retail background acceptable.

Technical Skills:

  • Seasoned Enterprise Architect with cross-domain skills and practiced modern methods in the Data, Analytics, and Integration domains.
  • Coordinate and develop the Data Architecture Strategy for SPE addressing data management, data platforms, BI and analytics, and data governance.
  • Participated in establishing data management capabilities such as metadata management, lineage, data governance, data discovery, data protection, and data quality.
  • Experience establishing data ownership/stewardship/custodianship and advising the creation of the data ownership model and responsibilities.
  • Experience with data modeling and Information Architecture to enable federation of data governance responsibility (Collibra or comparable).
  • Experience with data mesh and fabric architectures and implementing best practices (SAP Datasphere or comparable).
  • Understanding of AI/ML technology to mature the DataOps and MLOps capabilities.
  • Ability to develop robust business cases for investments in data technology.
  • Data Modeling capability and familiarity with Enterprise Data concepts.
  • Experience in engineering data warehouses/data lakes (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift).
  • Work with Integration Platform teams to define the target multi-cloud integration strategy and design patterns.
